Community Compass Workshop

“An aid for the orientation of community projects”
Eva Stützel will hosted a 2-week workshop

Eva is one of the founders of the eco village "Sieben Linden" in Germany, where more than 100 people live together on the land. «Cuando estamos soñando solos, solo es un sueño. Cuando soñamos con otros, es el comienzo de una nueva realidad» (Don Helder Camara).

The Community Compass provides essential answers to the questions: What do community projects need in order to be realized and exist? What needs to be focused on for the development of such projects?

With the seven areas of the Community Compass: Individuals, Community, Intention, Structure, Practice, Harvest, and World,

The totality of the aspects relevant to the development of community projects are identified. Individuals and Community are the core areas for the community compass. With this simple scheme, the compass opens up a range of multiple possibilities in its application:

  • to work with group processes

  • to raise awareness in group

  • to create consciousness in groups

  • for the constructive development of projects

  • etc…

The compass is oriented towards all groups; where individuals come together to realize something in common and voluntarily. It focuses on community projects but also political & social associations. It can also be used in collective companies.
